Eroticon 2019 Virtual Meet and Greet – Haiku

NAME (and Twitter if you have one)

You might know me as Haiku or @19syllables, I’ll be happy to tell you my name when I meet you at Eroticon, which I hope I do as I’m always up for a chat.

Tell us 3 things you are most looking forward to at Eroticon 2019

1, Catching up with online friends from far away, talking with actual, sounded words at their actual flesh and blood faces, hearing their actual voices and their actual laughing. Not having to rely on clunky pixels for just this one weekend each year.

2, Each year I’ve come away with one stand-out thing that’s changed the way I write or think about writing. On my first year it was from @girlonthenet about how to pitch ideas, and last year from @remittancegirl’s talk on structuring a novel. I’m really looking forward to finding something like that this year even though I don’t know what it is yet. A penny drop, a big nudge in the right direction.

2, I’m looking forward to the days afterwards when (if previous Eroticons are anything to go on) I feel validated in what I’m doing, full of ideas and can-do attitude, and even better connected to a community which I value and love.

We are creating a play list of songs for the Friday Night Meet and Greet. Nominate one song that you would like us to add to the play list and tell us why you picked that song.

Sugar by Chaka Khan because is sexy, current and accomplished. All things I’m striving towards. I love that she’s pulled off such a sassy chart-topper aged 65.

What is your favourite item or book you’ve purchased so far this year?

Why, the 2019 Eroticon Anthology “Discovery” of course!  It’s always an immense pleasure top see one’s self in print, and I’m so excited to read the stories of those I’m snuggled up inside that book jacket with!

You can have an unlimited supply of one thing for the rest of your life, what is it? Sushi? Scotch Tape?

Air Miles. Wouldn’t that be a joy….

What is your favourite quote from a movie?

“He chose….wisely.”

And

“He chose….poorly.”

From ‘Indian Jones and the Last Crusade’.  Both phrases have been very useful over the years for I have done plenty of both.

What is your word suggestion to next year’s Eroticon anthology?

Rhythm
