Name (and Twitter name)
You may know me as @19Syllables or Haiku, if we meet at Eroticon I’ll be happy to tell you my given name.
Tell us 3 things you are most looking forward to at Eroticon 2020
- I’m really excited to see how my talk/workshop goes, I’ve planned some games and activities and it will be interesting (and nerve wracking!) to see how they go and what sort of erotic haikus we make together.
- Seeing old friends meeting new ones. I sure everyone says the same thing but honestly, this conference is one of the most welcoming, happy places I’ve ever been. I can’t wait to catch up with folks and meet new, likeminded souls.
- I’m excited to have a look at Vac Play and the Kink Lab this year, I’ve never been to that part of the conference before but this year I’m determined to be brave enough! Also Shibari life drawing – that sounds just my cup tea.
What song always makes you want to dance
I love dancing to massive, cheesy, club bangers. And nothing’s cheesier than Gecko (Overdrive) Oliver Heldens and Becky Hill. All the cheese. Quattro Formaggi. (awful video, sorry)

What is the best book you’ve read in the last year?
I really enjoyed Manhattan Beach by Jennifer Egan. Vivid characters, compelling under-the-sea and wartime settings, people navigating their lives and their love in times of change.
What is your mobile (cellphone) wallpaper or home screen image?
It’s an underwater shot I took in the Indian Ocean. It’s of the bubbles rising from my out-breath towards the rippled underside of the ocean surface. Everything is the colour of lapis lazuli. It was a good day.
If someone gave you £5000 today which you were not allowed to save but had to spend within 24 hours what would you do with it?
I’d spend it on a holiday for my six person family, it’s an obvious answer but nothing feels more valuable than time spent with them, and to do it somewhere warm and by the sea is better still.
Complete the sentence:
I need..
Goodness, this one is hard. I think maybe because I’m lucky enough to not really ‘need’ anything. There’s lots and lots of things I want though….but that’s another story!
